BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University junior Shearyna Labasan was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NCAA Division II All-West Region Team as a Second Team selection.
Labasan (Mililani, HI/Maryknoll) was selected to the team in the utility-pitcher role in voting conducted by NCAA Division II West Region head coaches. The junior was also one of 13 First Team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selections announced last week. Labasan is one of four GNAC players listed on the 25-player All-West Region Team. Labasan also earned All-West Region honors from D2CCA as a sophomore in 2017.

At the plate she led the team batting .421 (59-for-140) with 31 runs scored, 11 doubles, 4 home runs, 17 RBI and 22 walks. She ranks amongst the conference leaders in batting average (.421, 3rd), on-base percentage (.500, 2nd) and slugging percentage (.586, 5th), while also listed in the top 10 in hits (6th, 59), runs (10th, 31), doubles (T7th, 11), walks (T5th, 22) and total bases (T10th, 82).
