WWU Basketball Honors a Trio of MVP's

A trio of Western Washington University players took home co-MVP honors at the Viking men's basketball award banquet Monday night. Senior Deandre Dickson, junior Trey Drechsel and sophomore Daulton Hommes all shared the top team award.
Dickson (14.1ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.8bpg), Dreschel (14.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.9apg) and Hommes (18.1ppg, 6.0rpg) were named to All-GNAC teams in a year that saw the Vikings go 21-and-8 overall, advancing to the postseason for the 10th straight year.
Four seniors were also honored Monday night in Dickson, Brad Wallace, Brett Kingma and Blake Fernandez.
We had a tremendous group of people, their character has been high level," said head coach Tony Dominguez. "The seniors did a great job. Deandre was phenomenal, Brad Wallace was great, Brett Kingma, Blake Fernandez...true greats. So, it's been fun coaching those guys."
