Jordan Stoner Steals Home, Bells Steal Win

Bells outfielder Jordan Stoner stole home in the bottom of the 12th leading Bellingham to a 3-2 victory over Corvallis Friday. The win at Joe Martin Field snapped a 4-game losing streak.
The Victory was the first for Bellingham in the second-half of the the West Coast League season. The Bells have already clinched a playoff spot after winning the North Division during the first half with a league best record of 18-8.
Bellingham pounded out 11 hits in the victory. Stoner went 3-for-5 with the all-important 1 run scored. Bells third baseman Zach Needham hit his third home run of the season.
Four Bells pitchers half Corvallis to just 2 runs on 5 hits. Ben Leeper (4-0; 3.29 ERA) picked up the win in relief. The right-hander pitched two scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. Louis Crow (1-3; 6.89 ERA) suffered the loss for the Knights.
Bellingham plays the North Sound Emeralds Saturday in non-league action. It's a 6:35pm first pitch at Joe Martin Field.
