Former Bellingham High School and Whatcom Community College guard Tanner Clark will play for Montana State Billings next season. New Yellowjackets head coach Mick Durham announced the addition Tuesday.
"Tanner adds some much needed experience and depth at the point guard spot," Durham said of the signing. "His outstanding assist and rebound numbers show that he has a great feel for the game. He's a tough kid that wanted a chance to play in the GNAC."
Clark averaged 9.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 27 games played over two years with the Whatcom CC Orcas.
"I am excited for the opportunity to continue my basketball career at the Division II level with MSUB," Clark said of joining the Yellowjackets. "I'm looking forward to moving to a new place and continuing to grow as a basketball player and a person. I've always liked Montana and can't wait to get over to Billings."
The 6-footer starred at Sehome High School. He was twice named second-team all-conference and finished his career with the Mariners second all-time in career assists.
