Sehome Alum Goes to Montreal in Canadian Football League Draft

Former Sehome High School football standout Bo Banner was drafted Thursday by the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League Draft. Banner went in the 3rd round as the 19th overall selection during the event held in Toronto.
Banner who graduated from Sehome in 2013, went on to star at Central Washington University. The defensive lineman was named an honorable mention NCAA Division II All American this past season and was named the 2017 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year. He led the Wildcats with 12 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss as Central went 11-and-1 winning the GNAC title and advancing to the D2 playoffs.
Montreal struggled last season, going just 3-and-15, posting the worst record in the CFL.
