Kick-off: Whatcom County Prep Football Begins Tonight

The 2018 prep football season gets underway tonight. 10 of the 11 Whatcom County high school football squads will be in action with the Lummi Nation Blackhawks wrapping up the games Saturday on the road.
Three games feature all-Whatcom County teams. The Lynden Christian Lyncs play host to the Bellingham Red Raiders in a game you hear on The Doug Lange Network beginning at 6:45pm. Elsewhere Lynden travels to Mount Baker and Sehome is at Nooksack Valley.
In non-league games Sedro-Woolley visits Meridian and Blaine plays host to Earl Marriott out of British Columbia. 3A Wesco North teams Ferndale and Squalicum are in action as well. The Golden Eagles host reigning 4A Wesco champ Lake Stevens and the Storm is at Civic Stadium to play Redmond.
All Friday games begin at 7:00pm

On Saturday, Lummi Nation hits the road to battle Tacoma Baptist, a team they beat twice last season. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
