Mount Baker hires Shelby Greenlaw to Lead

Shelby Greenlaw is the new boys basketball coach at Mount Baker High School. Athletic Director Quinn LeSage announced the hire via e-mail late Wednesday night.
"Coach Greenlaw brings a wealth of leadership and athletic experience to the program," wrote LeSage.
Greenlaw has been an assistant women's basketball coach at Whatcom Community College for the last four years. Greenlaw served in the United States Marine Corps and Army National Guard for a combined 14 years as a combat veteran. She also served as the head coach of the All Marine Corps basketball team in 2007.
“I am very excited to begin a new journey with these boys and build a program that hopefully will be successful and sustainable for years to come," said Greenlaw. "I am looking forward to getting plugged into the community and Baker basketball. I can’t wait to get to work!”

Greenlaw takes over a Mountaineers program that went 16-and-14 last year reaching day 3 of the 1A State Tournament. She succeeds interim coach Chad Hoidal, who replaced Rob Gray right before the start of the state tournament.
