Sehome Wins 5th Straight Scholastic Cup

Sehome High School has racked up another award honoring their student-athletes. The Mariners have won the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 2A Scholastic Cup for the 5th straight year.
The Scholastic Cup recognizes on the field and classroom success with points awarded to teams that finish at the top of their respective classifications in state athletic competitions and at the top in team academic performance. Sehome topped second-place Selah 1,455 to 1,135. Bellingham came in third with1,045 points.
Highlights for the Mariners include first place finishes at state in boys cross country and boys soccer. On the scholastic front Sehome took the top honors in gymnastics, boys soccer, along with boys track & field and girls volleyball.

In the 1A ranks Lynden Christian narrowly finished second to King's High School 1,235 to 1150. The Lyncs were led by a 1st place finish in girls volleyball while topping football, choir and drama academically.
