We knew they're a city rival, so we're coming out jacked and amped and we've been kind of practicing coming up up with an aggressive approach to start the game and that kind of transitioned through the entire lineup, said shortstop and leadoff hitter Trevor Seaholm, who went 1-for 3 with 3 walks, an RBI and 1 run scored.
The senior co-captain was happy his team was able bounce back and break their 4-game losing streak.
"It's huge because we know we're going to keep the momentum rolling as we go into tomorrow night and then into our first league game on Friday," said Seaholm.
Tyler Reynolds pitched the final 3 innings for the Mariners to pick up the victory. The senior registered 4 strikeouts while giving up just one run on 3 hits.
