 Jasinsky is Unanimous 1st Team All-GNAC Selection

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University junior Trevor Jasinsky was voted as a unanimous selection to the 2018-19 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball All-Conference Team.

 

Jasinsky (Camas, WA) averaged 19.1 points and 7.1 rebounds while starting all 30 games for the Vikings. He scored in double-digits in 28 of 30 games and led the conference with 16 games with 20 or more points. Amongst conference leaders, Jasinsky is 3rdin scoring average, 4th in rebounding, 1st in free throw percentage (88.7/157-for-77), 7th in 3-pointers made (67-for-199) and led the league averaging 35.5 minutes per game. 

 

His 19.1 points per game scoring average (574 points) enters the WWU single-season record book as the 10th-best mark in program history and his 67 3-point field goals are 16th-most. His minutes average is also 2nd-best in a season over the last 35 seasons, trailing only Grant Dykstra (35.7 min/game) in 2005-06.

 

For his career, Jasinsky has appeared in all 90 possible games of his career, making 59 consecutive starts from 2017-18 through 2018-19. He became the 26th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone for a career and is currently 21st in program history with 1,075 career points. Jasinsky is also one of just 20 players in WWU men’s basketball history to reach 100 career 3-pointers, currently tied for 10th with 143.

 

Northwest Nazarene junior guard Adonis Arms was voted as the GNAC’s Player and Newcomer of the Year, Montana State Billing’s Brendan Howard was the Freshman of the Year, Saint Martin’s Joran Kitchen was the Defensive Player of the Year and Alex Pribble of Saint Martin’s was the Coach of the Year.
