Bellingham United Rallies for Road Win
February 3, 2019
Bellingham United FC wrapped up the Washington Indoor Soccer League regular season with a bit of drama. The Hammers rallied for 3 goals in the 4th quarter to beat the Oly Town Artesians 5-4 on the road Saturday night.
Connor Moe sent home the game winner with just second seconds left to play to secure a 8-2-0 record for BUFC. The furious comeback erased a 4-1 halftime deficit.
Christian Caro had 2 goals in the Bellingham United victory while WISL leading scorer Richard Henderson and Nick Cashmere each found the back of the net. David Cook led the way for Oly Town (0-9-1) with 2 first half goals.
Bellingham United now moves on to the WISL postseason. As the #2 seed, the Hammers will host Tacoma Narrows (4-6-0) Saturday at the Bellingham Sportsplex in the semifinals. The top-seeded Tacoma Reserves (10-0-0) will host the #4 seed Snohomish Skyhawks (3-5-2) in the other semifinal.
The WISL Championship match will be played February 16th.
