WWU Hoops Back on the Hardwood Tonight

The Western Washington University basketball squads are back in action tonight. The Viking men play host to Montana State Billings in Carver Gym. The Western women are on the road to play at Seattle Pacific University.
The men are coming off an 89-81 home victory over Simon Fraser University on Tuesday. Junior guard Tucker Eenigenburg led the way with 21 points and junior forward Trevor Jasinsky tallied another 20-point performance as the Vikings picked up their 3rd win in their last 4 games.
Western (10-7 overall) is currently in 5th place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a record of 4-and-3. The Vikings are looking up at 4 teams all tied for first place with 5-and-1 records. Montana State Billings (8-6 overall) is right behind in 6th place with a 3-and-3 conference record.
WWU leads the all-time series vs. the Yellowjackets 23-to-6. The Vikings have won three straight and six of the last eight in the series.
Tonight's game tips-off at 7:00pm.
The Viking women are making their second visit to Royal Brougham Pavilion in Seattle this season. WWU split two games in the Sodexo Tip-Off Classic back in November, falling to UC San Diego 79-72 and beating Azusa Pacific 77-74 in overtime.
WWU is 9-5 overall and alone in 4th place in the GNAC standings with a 4-2 conference record. in their last outing Western picked up a 73-61 victory over Western Oregon University at Carver Gym. Freshman guard Mollie Olson scored a career-high 16 points in the win .
Seattle Pacific is 4-9 overall and 3-3 in GNAC play this season. The Falcons are looking to break a 3-game losing streak and have struggled going 1-5 over their last 6 games.
WWU leads the all-time series vs. the Falcons 61-32, but were swept by SPU last season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
