Logan & Kaemingk Win NWC 1A Top Football Honors

Meridian quarterback Dawson Logan and Lynden Christian head coach Dan Kaemingk have taken home the top awards for 1A football in the Northwest Conference. Logan is the Player of the Year and Kaemingk is Coach of the Year.
T.J. Ackerman of Nooksack Valley was named the Assistant Coach of the Year.
Logan led the Trojans to an 8-and-4 record and a trip to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. According to stats compiled by WhatcomPreps.com the junior totaled 2952 yards of offense with 35 touchdowns.
Kaemingk took the Lyncs to the state playoffs for the first time since 2011. Lynden Christian (10-3) won a share of the NWC 1A championship and made it all the way to the state semifinals.
