Lummi Nation Knocked Out at 1B State

The season came to an end for the Lummi Nation boys basketball team Wednesday in the 1B state tournament at the Spokane Arena. The 3rd seeded Blackhawks were done in by a tough shooting performance in a 56-40 loss to 11th seeded Riverside Christian.
Lummi Nation struggled from 3-point land, hitting just 2 of 17 shots from long range. Trailing 27-22 at halftime, Lummi Nation saw the game slip away after being outscored 22-to-9 in the third quarter.
Freshman guard Duncan Toby led Lummi with 12 points while junior swingman Caleb Revey added 10 points, 3 assists and 1 blocked shot.
Reagan Haas tallied 16 points and Levi Rivera posted 14 points to lead the way for the Crusaders (18-5) as they move on to a quarterfinal match-up versus 5th seed Muckleshoot Tribal.
Lummi Nation finishes the year with a record of 22-3.
