Bellingham High School is celebrating an individual state champion. Sophomore Elijah Drew won the 1-meter diving state title Saturday at the Boys Swimming & Diving State Championships at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way.

Drew who finished 3rd at state in 2018, posted the top mark of 255.70 in the semifinals, before bettering it in the finals at 305.80. David 

Zadniprovskiy of Fife was second (293.00) and Andrew Methner of Port Angeles came in 3rd (273.65) 

​

Locally, sophomore Jacob Winn of Sehome finished 4th and Bellingham 

freshman Tommy Whipple came in 8th.
