Bells Open Series in Bend Tonight
June 12, 2018
After a day off the Bellingham Bells are back in action tonight. Bellingham is in Bend, Oregon to open up a 3-game West Coast League series against the Bend Elks.
The Bells (5-4) are coming off a 10-6 road victory Sunday over Port Angeles. Griffin McCormick's grand slam home run highlighted a 7-rrun ninth inning to salvage the final game of their 3-game set versus the Lefties.
Bend has struggled out of the gate this season with a record of just 2-and-7. The Elks have lost 6 straight games, most recently getting swept on the road by Yakima over the weekend.
Cal State Northridge sophomore Wesley Moore is scheduled to start for Bellingham. Gonzaga freshman Daniel Naughton gets the call for Bend. It's a 6:35pm first pitch at Vince Genna Stadium.
