Make it 6 victories in a row for the Bellingham Bells. The Bells topped
Port Angeles 5-4 Thursday at Joe Martin Field to complete a three-game sweep of the Lefties.
Bellingham erased a 1-run deficit in the sixth inning, pushing two-runs across to improve their West Coast League leading overall record to 30-14.
Bells third-baseman Dusty Stroup went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored.
Shortstop Ernie Yake had a triple and 3RBI's.
Marcos Cuenca (2-1; 1.63 ERA) picked up the victory in relief. The righty out of Western Oklahoma State College went 4 and 1/3 innings giving up just 1 hit and 1 run, while striking out 5 batters.
Bellingham hits the road to take on the team with the second best overall record in the WCL. The Bells open up a 3-game series versus the Portland Pickles (30-15) at Walker Stadium. Theron Kay goes to the mound for Bellingham against Portland's Brett Walker. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
