Armbruester Leads Bells to 5th Straight Win

A strong pitching performance helped the Bellingham Bells to their 5th straight victory Wednesday night. The Bells downed the Port Angeles Lefties 9-2 at Joe Martin Field.
Justin Armbruester went 5 innings, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 6 batters. the right-hander out of Pacific Lutheran University improved to 2-and-1 on the year with a 1.33 ERA.
Bellingham racked up 11 hits on the night. Dusty Stroup and Matt McClain each provided 2 RBI's in the victory.
With the victory Bellingham is a West Coast League best 29-and-14 overall. The Lefties are 18-and-26.
Bellingham and Port Angeles wrap up their series tonight. Chris Micheles is scheduled to get the start of the Bells versus Avery Santos for the Lefties. First pitch is at 6:35pm.
